Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21, 1983) is an acclaimed American actor. Most notably, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school after her parents split up to move into Los Angeles to live with her mother. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's main character the online video series Rachel's Room in 2001. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance in Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to be awarded. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She played the lead protagonist for two seasons and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in the year 2005, to take on the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. In addition, she appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost including the series finale. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She portrays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Being part of the Gyllenhaal family, she's the younger sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work on small roles with her father and appeared in Donnie Darko alongside her twin brother. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. Her fame grew when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films that she was a part of during 2006. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child earned her nomination for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. One of her latest roles included as the main character in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with the drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
