Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish Flamenco and pop artist from Spain. When she was just a teenager, Rosalia has performed in classical and popular genres. But, her musical interests are also extending to various genres, including hip-hop as well as soul. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela described her voice as delicate and sharp, yet having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer, her second album following Los Angeles in 2017, proved to be both a critical and commercial hit. It debuted at the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums Chart and was awarded the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami was her third album that was full-length. It featured collaborations on music writing with several producers and artists, including Cory Henry. In March 2022 the set was launched following the Saturday Night Live performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo artist to be a part of Saturday Night Live. As well as winning three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
